My room looks like an idol shop...

Sho - Scarf
Hi minna, no I haven't died of sadness from being back in France XD It's just that I was too tired to do anything. When I went back to my place, it took me 3 hours to unpack all my stuff, and I had hardly slept in Paris so I was still really tired (stupid jetlag), and first I did when I turned on the computer was going to Clubbox and downloading my 3 weeks lateness on Arashi >A< (luckily Arashi is the only fandom I'm following now @_x), I haven't even checked the community or I'll go crazy with all the posts I'll have to read to catch up XD And then I had to go back to work only two days later T0T I LOOKED LIKE A ZOMBIE!!!! Because no matter at which hour I'm going to sleep (at first it didn't exceeded 9:00PM @_x) I woke up at 5:00AM. But last night I went to bed at 1:00AM (because I was watching "Letters from Iwo Jima" and the bonus DVD) but still I woke up at 7:00AM T0T STUPID STUPID JETLAG!!!

Iwo Jima kara no Tegami... in French... WTF HAPPENED TO SAIGO?Collapse )

I want to make babies to my wall so badlyCollapse )

So enough of my stupid life and moving on to the most interesting part:

How to make it to Japan, see Arashi and come back in one piece

So I though it might be helpful to say what it has costed me and all to make this trip to Japan, because more than one year ago, I though Japan was like... unreachable, but it's not, and it's absolutely totally worth all the hard work you can put in it. Also a lot of people will tell you that Japan is expensive. Yes it's expensive as Paris can be expensive, depends on what you're willing to do, and how wisely you're spending your money (you can say I've bought too many stuff but that's why I went there, and I stayed in the range of money I brought with me. Of course if I had decided to travel everywhere around Japan, I would have bought wayyyyyyyyyyy more less, it all depends on what you want to do, but save money ok XD), like eveywhere in the world. When I went to Japan, I brought with me exactly 393000Y (which is around 2000€), plane ticket not included, and were to be include in it the hotel, the transport and the food for 17 days. Hopefully I had to pay the hotel first thing, so I didn't have to worry about it for the rest of my stay. And I stayed exactly in the money I had, (the day I left Tokyo for Narita, I had eactly 1000Y left for the train and 140Y for a bottle of water, that was all XDDDDD). I only used my credit card once at HMV (which is one of the rare places in Japan where you can pay with a credit card) and it was just for a DVD, and the second time was at Nartia airport, for the post office to send my stuff to France. You can go for less (Jennifer only brought 300000Y and she was OK at the end, she just bought less), so just save money depending on what you want to do, AND CHECK WHAT YOU HAVE LEFT EVERYDAY!!!! That's why I mainly bought at the end of my stay, so I didn't have to worry about the things left to do.

The hotelCollapse )

Do I have to learn Japanese?Collapse )

Hummm... I think that's all, if anybody has any question, I will be happy to answer them.
I will post soon enough again now that I have a scanner, I have tons of stuff to share \ooooooo/ make graphics make graphics people, make pretty wallies!!!!! XD~

1st-Jan-2010 02:57 pm (UTC) - Arashi CDs
Konnichiwa! I just recently became a fan of Arashi and I became soooo addicted to them... I've read your blog. I envy you so much for meeting Nino-kun in person, for seeing Arashi in a concert and for having this much of collection.
Just simple questions, how much does each CD/DVD cost? Gomen, I'm sooo curious. And is there any other place in this world aside from Nihon where I could find/buy a CD/DVD of Arashi?
Arigatou gozaimasu!

1st-Jan-2010 10:54 pm (UTC) - Re: Arashi CDs
You can find regular editons on CDs and DVDs at a normal price on yesasia or cdjapan, but like everything else, limited editions which are not find online are now quite rare (well it depends) and the price might go really high (like for exemple, on of the rarest Arashi CD edition is the 5x5 LE, and this autumn, I found it in Japan for 70000Yen...).
If you live in a big city, you can maybe find a Japanese second hand shop.
You'll find all you need to know in the Arashidex: http://arashi.fukanzen.net/group/articles/buyersguide/

I'm quite surprised to find out that the CDs are much expensive than what I first thought. Really, surprised...
Thanks a lot again! ^-^

Hi, Well I went to this house ikebukuro in 2007 so maybe things have changed, but I had no problem. Only incovenient of this was the midnight curfew.
In 2008, my friend went to a guest house http://www.borderless-house.com/ and her experience was even better than what we had in 2007, so I recommend you consider this instead :)

Sache juste que le JE shop a énormément changé depuis, et encore, j'y suis retournée la dernière fois qu'en 2008 et c'était déjà plus fluide au niveau de l'organisation.

Eclate toi!

hello there~ i was actually passing through to dl an old arashi variety show when i saw the sidebars n u had some certain interesting topics. it's really amazing how you went to Japan and everything. n u went to their concert! really awesome. i've been actually wanting to learn Japanese for quite a while now but only gone as far as learning the basics of katakana n hiragana. even those, i'm struggling with. can i say that i don't have the time for it? i guess so. with all the assignments i have n everything. i'm rambling about myself here. but really, i'm amazed that u were able to go to Japan and watched their concert. hopefully i'll be able to do so too. :D

I always dreamed to visit Tokyo, Japan and attend Arashi concert but in another way made me realise it is mostly imposible for me. I will probably be worried about my japanese (which i try to improve) and mostly the transport for me would be horror XD (i am not good in orientation) so thank you for encouraging people like me :)
Your article is amazingly helpful.

Btw I really would be interested about applying to FC...do you have some advices? I heard it is impossible if you dont have japanese friend (I am from Europe) T_T JE are so unfair with that "new" checking style ne? (but yeah I understand they want protect Arashi's work...)
Sorry for long comment

omg, this entry is so old, it's 9 years old XD
Well i don't live at my mum's place anymore (I'm 32 now), I live with my BF, and there's only one small Arashi poster in my office now. But I've kept most of my stuff, it's just not displayed anymore *sob*
I really hope this inspired you to achieve your dream of going to Japan.
As for FC application, I'm really not an expert, as I'm not part of the FC myself, but you should check this entry for more informations.
I attended Arashi concerts in 2007 (Time, arena tour), 2008 (Dream A Live, dome tour) ans 2009 (5x10 dome tour), and those were easier time to get Arashi tickets (especially in 2007), but I've heard the shops in harajuku which resell tickets are still open, so there's still hope for that.

Firstly thank you for your (very fast) reply :3 :3 (i thought you wont answer hehe :) ) and yup i know XD but I am in fandom for 2 and half year (that is why I am kinda slow catching infos from past) aaaw i see...but at least you are able to manage your life with fangirling ne? :)
Well I still feel like I wont be able to do it, but you did inspire me to try my best :)
Oh you are not? I see...kyaa thank you very much for link :) :) and yup nowadays it is more difficult for international fans to get tickets T_T really? then there is still small hope ne? :)
