I've decided to share my "Arashi's pelegrinage" (there's no other word XDDDD) maps and information, because, yes, I'm planning my trip to Japan LIKE CRAZY! Because I don't want to lose a single second
when I'm there, So I've planned pretty much everything I really wanted to do . Take apart the "going to Arashi's concert", there's also a hell lot of set location I want to go, because it will feel awesome to say "They were there" or "Geez, I feel I'm in a drama XDDDD" (and it's a fun way to visit Tokyo anyway, as I'll take opportunity to visit around at the same time of course, so why not do two things at once *saving time and money \o/*)
So I started one month and a half ago, and it was really reaaaaaaaaally fun. Google Earth is loooooooove!!!
This post is mainly for me to keep track of things when i'm in Japan (even if I'm going to print every maps), but as it was a lot of work, and I know some people are going to Japan this summer (some in only few days, ne anthalie9
? X3), I thought it might be of some interest to them.
And anyway, maybe you'll go to Japan next year, or in two years for Arashi's 10th year celebration... or in 25 years, as a commemoration, when all of Sho's
kids would have graduated from Keio and when Nino will finally
start looking 25 years old XD~ And you'll be like "Oooooh my youuuuuth, Japan, Arashi!!!! My youuuuuuth"
...hum I'm getting lost...
Anyway, the following includes detailed Google maps of "How to go here and there", with many references, maps themselves are detailed, just click the big blue things and a big bubble will appear with pictures (of the said place when I could find one and screenshots of the movie/drama), informations and links (maybe some random comment XDDD), and most often, it also includes the location of the nearest train/subway Station (with a Wikipedia link (Japanese, or English when there is one), mostly useful because it lists all the lines going through that station).
As a help to go to the said train station, you'll definitely need to use this awesome site
(just enter your departure station (romanji), and the one you want to go to, and it will give you different ways to get there, according to your budget and time *yeah planning like crazy*)
(don't freak out because you're seeing French, the screencap was made while I was logged in on Google Maps, and of course i've set it to French, but when you'll use the links, you'll get in English (or whatever the language you've set it to if you're logged in)
All those maps where done according to this absolutely great Japanese website
, other where done according to careful watching of the movies/drama (mainly for all the locations of Pikanchi and some of Kisarazu Cat's Eye) (I must say that was greatly fun XDDDD), with the great help of Wikipedia List of railway stations in Japan
Of course, all of the below are a few
selection of many many other set locations. Some are not even in Tokyo, and I will only stick there (only exception for Kisarazu Cat's Eye of course XD~), so I had to choose where I really wanted to go.
Oh it also includes non-set locations, but interesting places Arashi fans will want to go definitely (like Aiba's mum restaurant X3 )
And even if you're not going to Japan right now, it's tremendously fun to watch the location on Google Earth (or maybe am I the only one to think that XD), and I remember at one point I stupidly thought "OMG, that place is REAL!" XDDDD That's dumb but that's the feeling you get X3)Pikanchi, life is hard dakedo happyYashio Complex
Where the five of them live. Now I say A BIG THANK YOU to the 3D display of Yashio Complex at the beginning of the movie XDDDDHarajukulast edited on July 17th
That was the MOST FUN to do, because it was only me, Google Map, and a lot of "Pause" hiting on my iPod while watching the movie (because movie player + Google Earth = My PC dies). Lots of help came from those blue stairs you can see here and there, I located myself with them. Couldn't find where the hell Takuma was challenged to skateboard thought, even if I looked around...Additional notes:
: I'm half-sure Takuma was skating near the Omotesando part of Harajuku St. ;) Although if there is a skate park around Harajuku, and where it is, I'm not too sure about.
Thank to that, I think I found where Takuma was, still haven't found where this bloody skatepark is thought ><Hana yori DangoEbisu Garden Place
This is the MUST-GO of course :3 (I think I went a little too much screencap crazy on this one >///<)Narita Airport scenes
Except if you choose to go to Japan by boat... you will most likely arrive and leave at Narita Airport, so you will definitely have a chance to visit those sets (as for me, I'm going to stalk them when I leave Japan because at my arrival, I will be busier trying to be quick and catch a train/bus with all my stuff to go to the hotel (because Nartia Airport is 1 hour and a half away from Tokyo), well except if I immediately recognize the places.)
Of course the map won't help that much (because you will just see the roof of the airport XDDDD), but you'll have the terminals numbers and pictures.Ueno zooanthalie9
told me they're still selling that ugly plushie Tsukasa bought for Tsukushi (and it's damn expensive. Of course, because it's a hit now!)
Includes the meeting point at the Saigo Statue (which is in Ueno park) and the zoo (some place of the zoo I could find (like the pinguins because I could see the water on the map) but some obviously I could not, because of trees and the such. Anyway it won't be hard to find the toilets once you're there XDDDD).
I wanted to see the Domyoji house, but it's not in Tokyo, it's not even near
Tokyo, so... *sob*Kisarazu Cat's Eye
I will go to Kisarazu the same day as going to Aiba's mum restaurant in Chiba, to take advantage of the train, and do the most I can in one day with the less money I can X3 So that day, it will be Tokyo>Chiba>Kisarazu \o/Kisarazu
I choose the locations nearest to the Station, because I'll be by walk. The only thing I don't know if I'll be able to do is going to the sea-side, where Master shop is, because it's 3km away
from the nearest station (which is not even Kisarazu station, but the one before: Iwane Station). I think I'll stop at this station and ask if there is a bus to the shore, I think there must be one, how does the people leaving there do @_x (after translation Iwane StationWikipedia page, it appears there is a bus to the different seashores \o/) I'm crazy enough to walk 3km to get there (it's not like I'm not used to it, I walk 1 hour and half everyday for my work), but I don't think Jennifer (the friend with whom I'm goign to Japan) will be willing to walk >< Anyway, we'll see once there.Tokyo: Rainbow Bridge (Obaida Island)
I wanted to go to that place anyway (it's really famous, full of tourists XD you know it's the artificial island on Tokyo Bay where there is that replica of the Statue of Liberty), and when I saw it was in KCE... \oooooooooooo/

I want to go there so badly T0TTaro's part time job
This set is always not that far from the Yashio Complex (Pikanchi), just not on the same line, so I think I'll go there the same day *still the idea to save time and money XDDD~*Taro's house district
I think I've FINALLY found it, because they gave the set location of the big green slope, and the house is definitely close by so, I think this is it (houses around, cars in front, everything matches), I don't know if the house we see on the satelitte view is Tarou's house, it was built back in April, and maybe the Google view is older, anyway, the suroundings looks like it's here.Atago Shrine
Where Mimura-kun and Yamada-kun are training for the super market price \o/Tarou's dad is drawing and Takako's confession on the bridge
Those 2 places are right next to each other. It will be a nice park to spend time in anyway ^^Haikei, Chichiue-samalast edited on July 17thAround the restaurant, in Shinjuku-ku
I made DRASTIC changes. I've found out some of the locations on the maps provided by the site where wrong (it was the right district but not quite there in detail (when I searched for a bridge, it showed me the street 100m away...) So the restaurant was not at that exact place, I'm not EXACTLY sure where it is, but I found out the Shrine where Ippei met Tokyo, and the restaurant is really close to it (you can see in episode 1 Ippei going from the restaurant to that shrine). So I've delocated the restaurant, anyway, if you'll go there, just look around and you'll find it. As for "the stairs of apple love" they must be right beind the restaurant, as it's described in the drama.
i've also added the bridge where Ippei is seriously thinking that London is in France X3BambinoBaccanale Restaurant
I haven't finished watching Bambino yet (oooh the shame!) so I just picked the most important: Baccanale restaurant ^0^Nobuta wo ProduceRed Bridge
I just choose that set because it was near Baccanale (Bambino) restaurant XDDDDAiba's mum restaurantlast edited on July 27thKeikarou Restaurant

My money... MY MONEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! *happily broke, I will be*
Map made using those resources:
*Johnny's official website
The shop in Harajuku is opened from 10AM to 7PM. And anthalie9
said "You should NEVER go there on weekends, because this is absolutely crowded!" XDDD Ok will get there first thing in the morning on weekdays (even if... as it's the hollydays, weekdays or week-end won't make much of a difference...)Additional notes:
: I'm gonna warn you, though, the Johnny's store is crowded even on weekdays. XD; We had to wait two hours just to get in. x_x
: Just something to note, because it's the summer holidays now, there are going to be a lot of people at the Harajuku JE shop. Even though the shop only opens at 10, there's a huge crowd there by 8.30am. You'd probably want to be at the shop about 8 to ensure you're in the first batch to go in. ^^; Plus, you can't wait outside the shop, there's a waiting area about 30m outside, next to a train station exit. That's where all of us have to wait.
: I've passed by the J-shop in Harajyuku. hmmm...i was wondering what those girls were waiting in line for. there was a line all the way up until the shop closed. amazing.
... OK I'LL BE THERE AROUND 7:45AM \oooooooooooo/
And if you've watched all the maps carefully, well you noticed it's right in the middle of Pikanchi set locations, so I'll get there at the same time (anyway... I think I'm going to spend A LOT of my days in Harajuku so....)Keio Universitylast edited on July 27th
I'm so biased that I'm going to take a look at it XDDDDDDKeio University
Yes I'm seriously going to take pictures like crazy XDDDD Ah and a good point of all this work was that I feel like I know Tokyo like my pocket @_x (even if it's NOT the case XDDDD), I'm familiar with all the districts and train stations, that really stressed me down considerably! Because I know that when I'll get there, I won't freack out and will know where I'm going (a little "xxx wa doko desu ka???" will get me there anyway XD~) I even worked on my Kanjis because everything on Google Map plans are in Japanese (that was mainly to find "WHAT THE HELL IS THE NAME OF THAT TRAIN STATION!?" XD~)
Oh yeah, and I'll add again, I'm in Tokyo from August 21st until September 5th, so if anybody wants to hang out with me and go to those set locations, you're very welcome ^0^
Warning: This post is subject to change, because obviously, I'm still planning on my travel, and I might add some locations, anyway, I think people will find use in this post when they will go to Japan (which I hope will happen to everyone ^0^)
